Leaving Iguana Island...headed for Ship Channel Cay!!

Our Private Island for the day: Ship Channel Cay... 50 minutes East of Paradise Island Via Power Boat Adventures. May 25th, 2009
43 family members + 1 beautiful private Bahamian island= PRICELESS

Leah's favorite fish.. I called it a dog fish. Not sure why or if it was it's name.

Val got bit by a stingray. It looks like a waffle iron!

Driving back to Paradise Island in a storm... yes we got pelted by hail and rain going really fast in the power boat. It was not comfortable but it built memories. And I was the only one to risk my camera in the pouring rain to take photos. You cant see our boat driver's face, but he is wearing a snorkel mask! HA!

Our Group Family Vacation 2009

46 of us left Az on May 24th and headed to Paradise Island for 1 week. We flew Delta on 1 plane and everyone stayed at the Atlantis Hotel. It was SO WONDERFUL.... here is the start of our photos!!!!

The flight, we barely made our connection! We had 50 minutes in Atlanta to change planes, but we were 25 minutes late arriving because of weather issues. Once we landed a group started running from the B terminal to the A terminal. When they got there the gate was closing, since they close the gate 15 minutes prior to take off. They were pleading with the Delta employees to just wait for the rest of our group which was maybe 19 people, since we were 25% of the plane and re-routing us would be such a pain (and we were literally 5 minutes down the main hall way). The guy was SO RUDE to my cousin. I got there and saw this and actually started to fuss with him. Which delayed the door from being closed and then some other people from another flight who were late came to the counter and checked in, buying us time. Then some other people came, checked in, buying us more time. Again, they were ready to close the gate and FINALLY my family finished walking up. So we all got on and when they closed the plane's door it was excatly at the time we should have been departing, but we made the time up in the air and landed in Nassau, Bahamas exactly on time!!!
