Our Veteran's holiday was spent at the newly opened Krispy Kreme! It was closed about 5 years ago, because of financial issues. Now a new investor has stepped into the picture and reopened a bunch of stores. His name is Donut Dan. This is how we spent 1 of our hours on Veteran's Day. We met up with the kids' friends Ross and Jacqueline at the YUMMO place! Donut Dan (the franchise owner) PS~ These donuts are my WEAKNESS! The first 2 weeks this place was open, the kids and I were there a lot. Krispy Kreme donuts and Sprinkles Cupcakes are my kryptonite!
I am finally catching up on my blogging!!! I have lots of entries to add in between existing entries. So you need to look all over my page to really catch up!!! I have been sooooo busy that this took the back seat to "life". So bare with me, as I catch up!!!! xoxoxo Shawna
The kids had a blast at Joy's "Trunk or Treat". The boys were Mario & Luigi, from Super Mario Brothers, and Paris was Little Red Riding Hood. My sister and her family came out to "Trunk or Treat" with us. They were a witch, dragon, cat and Batman!!Tammy and I dressed as 1980s. Tammy's son Ross was Michael Jackson, complete with his stage show in the back of his dad's truck. It was very memorable!!!! Papa and Hominee were even with us for their last Halloween as Arizona residents!
JCS had their first ever highschool football game. With only 75 students in the highschool we are a 1A school. None the less, we had a wonderful and exciting 1st game!! We won!! Besides the game, there was a half time ceremony for those involved with making the field reality. It took a good size group to get everything in place to make it happen! My dad was honored too for his support of the fields and vision of a Christian campus led by Pastor Walt. OH, and I worked the concession stand with a group of friends. We laughed WAY TOO MUCH!!! Overall, it was a great family night supporting our Joy Eagles!
