Home.....from Powell

It's great to be home! Lake Powell was fun, but definitely not like Summer up there. It was windy and cold.....but we still had fun. We brought up my Aunt, Uncle and cousins. So 11 of us for the 4 day weekend. I am actually still swaying like I am on the houseboat right this moment...the highlight of our trip was my "gum bowl". Yep, it was a hit! Here is a picture..I know I am a nerd!

Secret Scrapper Guest Designer Contest November 2007

Secret Scrapper is looking for a Guest Secret Agent for the month of November. This contest is open to all registered members of Secret Scrapper Forum, please feel free to join our forum it’s free and easy.

Submission requirements: Please submit your favorite original mini album; albums submitted from previous Secret Scrapper Contests are not eligible. The mini album must be smaller than 8 ½ by 11 with any number of pages. Please post a picture of the front cover of your album and no more than 10 pages of that album in the gallery. Make sure that you clearly label each photo you download to the gallery with your name so that we are aware of which album & pages are yours. Only one album entry will be accepted per contestant.

Eligibility: If you're on another online store or kit club's DT, on a LSS DT or manufacturer DT you are eligible. Former Guest Secret Agents for 2007 are not eligible for this contest. There will be two honorable mention awards given out; honorable mention winners are not excluded from entering future contests.

Upload your mini album layouts and photos of the album covers into the Contest gallery located in the Secret Scrapper gallery. Submissions are due by midnight MST on October 5, 2007.

Contest entries will be judged by the owners of Secret Scrapper Products and the Secret Agent Design team.

Contest begins: September 8th and ends October 5th. Winners will be announced October 8th.

If you're chosen as the Guest Secret Agent for Secret Scrapper you will receive:

1) A Secret Scrapper Thankful Album within 3 business days of being selected. We require that you embellish the album and upload it into the Secret Scrapper Product gallery by November 1st
2) Your project will be featured on the Home page of Secret Scrapper Products Co. during the month you are a Guest Secret Agent.
3) A Guest Secret Agent Blinkie to use in you signature on forums.
4) Wholesale discount on all Secret Scrapper Products during your calendar month as a Guest Secret Agent.
5) Guest Secret Agents will participate in the forums by posting one challenge for our members to complete during November.
6) Guest Secret Agents will participate in the forums by posting a minimum of 4 times a week.

Am I A Dork?

Ok, I have yet to find another family member, or friend, who likes the "Prarie Home Companion" radio show. Do you? Am I a dork??? I first got into listening to this show online after watching the movie (same name). Took me 3 times to sit through it and enjoy the movie. 3rd time is a charm, because I caught on to it! First 2 times I did not get it. Now I don't listen to the show live, but after Monday I listen to it in the archives. I usually have it on as background noise, but find it funny. I am trying to talk my hubby into a "St Paul" trip this Spring to see the show in person. Anyone ever do that?

Layouts...

I am putting some layouts in my Secret Scrapper gallery and thought I'd post a few here too. This is me 8 months prego with Paris and alsothe day Paris was born. 3 pages I have in her book done....I love to scrap (by the way).....

I am curious who is stalking my blog :) SOOOOOO, leave me comment by Oct 7th and you will be entered in a drawing (or Blog Candy) for something fun and wonderful! A little basket full of things I love! And I do have "fun and cute" taste (at least I think so!). I am sooooooo curious, as my count went from 0 to 600 in less then 1 month! Yay for blogs! I know, I stalk some as well....so now say HI!!!!

It Is Officially Soccer Season

Well the soccer season has officially started. Practice is 3 nights a week between the 3 kids, plus games every weekend. 3 this weekend for us, 2 for Evan. Then 1 for Paris and Aiden. Here are some photos of them at practice and Evan's game. Oh and 1 of Paris and her cousins at dance (combo). That started up after a break too.

Nothing else too new....catching up and relaxing around the house today. I ran all my errands all week long while the kids are in school. Paris has Fridays off, so that is my "home" day. I try not to take her into store and such. I ended up spending more with her around....she just gives me a look with her "doe" eyes and bats her eyelashes and I melt....in an instance she can do no wrong and I basically give her the freedom to get her goodies (espcially at Target, boy she loves the $1 section but forgets the jewelry section is NOT the $1 section). Anyhoo, I hope to scrap this weekend and get some layouts up on Secret Scrapper. I am returning Oct 1st as a Design Team Member to the website and I am excited. I have been on break with them since I was gone most of the summer traveling (thx Mandy for holding my spot)!!

Happy Friday..........or TGIF as I loved to say every Friday as a child. Boy my Friday nights as a child consisted mostly of good TV (anyone remember "Just The 10 of Us") and that was our official pizza night! An unwinding night for my family growing up!!

He's 6!!

Aiden turned 6 and we had a birthday week!! Besides the cards and gifts that arrived in the mail all week, Aiden had a day of birthday fun and also a birthday dinner at Claim Jumper. Here is his fun birthday highlights.....he is officially 1/2 way to 12 years old...ha ha ha :)

I think it is almost FALL!!!

Wow, the 2nd day of a below 100 degree temperature here in the Phx area! I think this might be a sign of Fall...I am so happy! The start of the Holiday season kicks off with Halloween (in our home). I also am very excited to decorate my front door area outside with hay, cornstalks, pumpkins, a scarecrow and mums! I don't have any interesting "Fall" photos to share, not yet anyway! But I just wanted to say "Happy Fall Y'All!!"....

A Scrappin' We Will Go!!!!

Last weekend was soooooo fun!!!! Started the weekend with the Bazzill Paper sale, then dinner at Claim Jumper Friday evening (with Liz, Teresa, April, Debbie, Amanda & her friend). Then all day Saturday my Aunt Laureen and I went to the Convention at Civic Plaza...WAY fun. Loved the Basic Grey class! Sunday was a "put away & organize" day!!! A catch up day of sorts!! Here is pics from the weekend!!!! I wish I would have brought my camera to the Bazzill sale, what a site!!! Hot sweaty 45 minute line and Paris looking NOT happy about it!!!

Late Labor Day Pics...........

Our Labor Day weekend was just staying home. We got a "slip n' slide" and some "dippin dots" and the kids had fun outside!!!

Date Night with the Kids

I forgot to post this over the summer. I was WAY too busy I guess! Aiden & Paris went to their 1st concert (other then the Wiggles) this summer. The Police. They went with Robb & I while Evan was at soccer camp. Evan on the other hand has been to a ton of concerts....Rolling Stones (twice), Billy Joel, Jason Mraz, David Gray, etc etc...so he was not upset to miss out.

So first we went to the Spaghetti Factory on Central. Wow, I have been going there for years, since I was a child with my great-grandma! It was great!!!! My kids' first time. Then off to the concert. We sat in my dad's suite @ US Airways Arena, and the kids had fun. They knew a few songs and we left about 3/4 through the show. They started dozing off! So we beat the traffic and left right before the "encore set". So here are my pictures from June 2007!
