Secret Scrapper Xmas Layout

Here is a layout I finished with my supplies given to me from the Secret Scrapper Design Team coordinator (hee hee) Liz. This is Paris' first Xmas, 2003. She is a January baby, so she was almost 1 for her first Xmas.....I still have journaling to do, but I usually play "catch up" on journaling later.......

Happy Halloween......

Ok, a late Happy Halloween...we were so busy Weds! The fun started after school. We had our 2nd annual Halloween dinner at my grandparents' home in Surprise We also celebrated my neice's 2nd bday, my aunt, my mother in law and grandpa's belated birthday. 4 cakes :) Lots of pizza and a pinyata...plus a dvd slideshow I made of our family cruise last summer to Europe. If I knew how to post a 25 minute dvd slideshow I would on the blog...but I haven't a clue. It is set to music and was fun to do on photoshop...anyways, here is photos of our Halloween. That picture of the Chateu Mirage is 100% edible, it was a 1 story cake by my favorite cake maker Elizabeth at Az Cakes. The 2 pumpkins were made by her also, the "scary eye" cake was from Albertsons (a last minute addition that was not preordered, but still cute). So above is photos of us eating, photos of us dressed up, photos of everyone watching the slideshow on the TV, basically photos of our family of 37 having fun!!! That is what it is all about in life...family :) Paris and I were Snow White, as well as my cousin. Aiden was a ninja, Tyler was Superman and Evan was Darth Vader. After the dinner/birthday party/slideshow suprise we went to our church (Parkway) for Trunk or Treat. It was fun....but we stuck to our schedule and kids were in bed by 8:30pm. No door to door trick or treating for us.

This weekend I am putting my Xmas tree up!! I am hosting 2 holiday parties here in December so I want to get decorated early...and Christmas is HUGE in our house...I have about 20-25 huge rubbermaids full of decor and Robb has the task of putting my 15 foot prelit up tomorrow....YAY!!! 7 weeks until Christmas. We got GHOSTED

This is too funny..but 2 nights ago we got GHOSTED. Which at first I was like "what"? Then read the info that came with it and thought it was a cute idea (evan though my hubby wanted to throw it away thinking we were being poisoned). Ok, sometime during the day (2 days ago) someone in our neigborhood left a bag full of little toys and candy on my doormat. I of course called Paris to come out when I saw the bag & pulled the note out to discovered what it was. I was GHOSTED! So then we keep the Halloween goodies, and hung the ghost print out on our front door (so we aren't ghosted again per the rules). Then I am suppose to do it to 2 more people. I have done it yet, but am planning on it, late of course since Halloween was yesterday. Or maybe I'll change it to "Turkey'ed" (ha ha ha). Now as I drive up my street I notice houses with ghosts hanging on the door, so I bet it was one of them that knew I had kids and would get a kick out of it! What fun....

Decorating and Slowing Getting Organized

I have lived here now for 5 months and the house is not all the way unpacked or decorated. I have lots to organize still too! While my house was "somewhat" clean I took some photos to share, as I have not invited really anyone over yet. The few family members that have seen inside my new house came over and kinda pushed their way in (ha ha ha)....

Staying home....and relaxing!

Well Disneyland is off. Last minute decision, but it is ok. The fires and smoke, all that led us to rethink Disney this weekend. Air quality issues basically. Bummed of course and it was not fun canceling everything, but overall I am sure this weekend is probably going to be busy since it is the last weekend before Halloween and also the yuck air. So me and the little ones will stay home and relax! Robb and Evan go to Vegas for soccer. We hope maybe in January to go to Disneyland. From here until New Years we have something EVERY weekend. Nuts huh???? So I'll be home and probably blogging a lot this weekend....and I'll be chatting over at Secret Scrapper too!!! Here is a peek into my scrap room (which doubles as my office, as I tell my hubby I am running a business called "family & life" out of this room). It is a mess right now!
